الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلاَكَ بِهِ وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلاً
Transliteration
Alhamdu lillahilladhi 'afani mimmabtlaka bihi wa faddalani 'ala kathirin mimman khalaqa tafdila
Translation
All praise is for Allah who has spared me what He has afflicted you with, and for favoring me greatly above much of what He has created. (Say this to yourself, not aloud, so the afflicted person does not hear. Whoever says this will be protected from that affliction)
